Praying from your inbox
We are starting a new initiative around prayer in the next few weeks. We believe it is good for us pray together– prayer transforms us as individuals and as community, like we talked about in our spiritual workshop on prayer. However, it isn’t easy to find time to be together in the same place to pray. So, we are launching a weekly prayer email program that will go directly to your inbox! The weekly email will give you an update on what to be aware of and praying for in our community. We will also be including different prayer practice resources and other fun goodies along the way. All you need to do is sign up for the email, open it up when it hits your inbox and pray!

SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES

Mark Central
Registration opens February 15! Mark off your calendars for a week of intensive manuscript study at Ontario Pioneer Camp from May 1st to May 7th. Mark Central is an opportunity to dig deeply into the Bible, as a way to understand who we are and who Jesus is. If it’s your first time at Mark Central, you are invited to study the first half of the Gospel of Mark, called Mark 1. Returning students study either the second half of Mark, called Mark 2, or the first chapters of Genesis.  Please email Dan (dclubine@ivcf.ca) or Archi (abalakumaran@ivcf.ca) if you have questions about Mark Central or if you would like to discuss this opportunity further.
Bangladesh Global Urban Partnership
Applications are now closed for the Bangladesh Global Urban Partnership (GUP), but please pray for the team of staff and students as they prepare and fundraise over the next few months. Stay tuned for more about how to support the team financially and in prayer. Participants will travel to Dhaka Bangladesh this May to serve in partnership with our IFES partners – Bible Students Fellowship of Bangladesh (BSFB). This is our seventh year ministering alongside BSFB and we are striving to equip staff and student leaders to lead inductive Bible studies at conferences and small groups across the country. Canadian students become increasingly aware of how they serve as image bearers of Christ while in Bangladesh. These experiences in Bangladesh raise important questions about poverty, ethnic identity, gender and injustice. Rooted in scripture, we aim to learn from and serve with our brothers and sisters in Bangladesh.
